Oasis Of Vine City facilitates and implements projects that focus on providing assistance to the hungry, needy, and under-represented members of our extended family. These projects include:
Feed the Hungry Program
The World Health Organization (WHO) considers food and nutrition security a basic human right and top priority. Without sufficient food and nutrition, people are unable to reach their full developmental potential, both mentally and physically. Approximately over 2 billion people worldwide are affected by nutrition deficiencies, causing a reduction in livelihood development and learning capabilities.
Unfortunately, while it is a basic human necessity, other people do not have enough food to eat every day. Through our Feed the Hungry Program, we strive to feed the hungry members of our communities with nutritious and delicious meals. Our team will surely need your assistance in stocking our pantries, organizing the event, preparing the meals, and handing out the foods to the hungry participants, among others.
Education / Awareness Drive
Individuals who understand the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle and are educated with current health risks tend to take more responsibility for their own health and well-being. Through our Education/Awareness Drive, we aim to promote positive change in public health. We develop programs that provide relevant information about health and nutrition with a focus on exercise, nutrition, safety, and overall physical health.
With the help of our volunteers and community partners, our Education/Awareness Drive is provided by a selected team of dietitians, health educators, nurses, and health educators. We also aim to provide health coaching, educational seminars, nutritional education, fitness assessments, tobacco cessation programs, health fairs, and more.
Outreach Programs
Poverty reduces human potential. It takes away opportunities to thrive. It hinders people from living their best lives. Through our Outreach Programs, we aim to help the disadvantaged members of society. We form strategic relationships with volunteers, community partners, and sponsors to fund services and goods for food, water, housing, education, health care, and community facilities to improve the lives of those in need.
We strive to fight the causes of poverty to ensure that everyone has an equal opportunity to thrive and live their best life. Our Outreach Programs primarily focus on four key areas, including Hunger Relief, Senior Housing, Nutrition, and Education.
Senior Housing
The Legacy of Vine City, a Senior Housing Community, is the first catalytic project inside the Vine City Community. This project will create affordable housing for senior-community residents while creating over 150 construction-related jobs. The Legacy of Vine City is a state-of-the-art, gated community with 105 units of affordable housing for senior living. This residential space will be erected just three blocks west of the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium, 0.3 miles east of Sunset Avenue and a few hundred yards from the new Rodney Cook, Sr. Park which is now under construction by the City of Atlanta.
It will boast contemporary, one and two-bedroom apartments and will be nestled in the heart of the underserved, Vine City community.
Other programs are already in line for the coming years. We hope that you continue to support us in our mission. For inquiries, you can talk to us at 404-913-9610.
